Look! My first picture of a child with Santa! I almost didn't believe her when Chloe came home from school and told me they had a visit from Santa -- AND that she got her picture with him. Good thing she brought the proof, a few days later. My kids have always been so scared of Santa. I've seen plenty of crying kids sitting on Santa's lap, but I've never felt like torturing my kids (in that way). I've always been grateful they aren't so comfortable sitting on some strangers lap. But look at that Chloe, I think she even has a smile on her face!
On Thursday I got to go help with Sophie's class Christmas party. Her teacher kept things pretty low key, which is nice. They just decorated "gingerbread" (aka milk carton) houses. Her teacher is so organized, and just calls one parent to help at each table. It keeps it simple and not overly crowded. And she's even so careful to make sure that the parents help at the table their child sits at. Sophie was so excited to get her picture taken with her house, but it was too dark by the time we had a chance Thursday night. I told her I would take one the next day. I got this one, but was hoping to get a shot with her in it after she came home from school, but no such luck. Always so much to do!

I'm glad the girls are enjoying the festivites. That's so funny it's Chloe's first year sitting with santa. Has Sophie done it yet?
That's a cute pic of Chloe! You're a good mom to not torture your girls with "making" them sit on Santa's lap. I've got plenty of pictures of Makenna where her face is red, she's screaming, and reaching toward the camera. It's mean, I know. I can't believe the countdown is really on!
