I had a busy morning on Saturday, and got a lot accomplished. Brandon planted our spinach while I took the girls to a practice for a song they would perform Sunday in the primary program. Then I made us a lunch to take on a hike. Unfortunately, Chloe chose to stay home. We missed her, but not the whining. Lark had gone up to Donut Falls in Big Cottonwood Canyon on Labor Day, and it sounded fun so we had to go check it out. Sophie had a blast climbing around on all the rocks and wading through the water. She learned that her "waterproof" shoes are not the same as water shoes, however.

I had a terrible accident and killed my iPod. I'm taking it in today to see if it can be repaired, but I'm afraid all is lost. That was the saddest part of the day. But we had so much fun hiking to Donut Falls, and since we were so close we decided to just go check out Silver Lake (where we had tried to go for Father's Day). It was still pretty cold up there (especially for a girl with wet shoes), but there was no more snow. It was beautiful and just a nice, easy stroll around the lake.

Sorry about your ipod!! That's a super bummer. Interesting Chloe choose to stay home. Hugh...they are growing up I guess. Looks like a fun hike and I love the Freedom's Light program. Wow. That's awesome places still do that!! Go USA!!
