Miscellaneous Catching Up

I've just been going through my pictures and found a few I should comment on. A couple weeks ago Sophie had one of her little friends over (Kaia). She REALLY wanted to be put to work. I had just spent the whole day cleaning, so I didn't have much to come up with. She finally asked if she could dust my blinds -- yeah, that was one job I just never seem to get to. So, she and Sophie had a great time cleaning my blinds. That's the kind of friend I'm eager to have come back!



On April 1st Chloe got invited to go have lunch with the mayor of Farmington and the police and fire chiefs. This is an honor selected by the teachers -- once a month 5 kids from each school in Farmington (ours counts since 1/2 the student body lives in Farmington) get to go to this special luncheon. She was escorted there by the police, and got to return to the school in an ambulance. She came home with a packet full of fun stuff. I was told they were going to take a picture, but I haven't had a chance to find out if we get a copy. I'll post it here later if I get one. Here she is with her junior firefighter badge and frisbee from the mayor.



The girls got creative/bored one day and came up with these parachutes for their stuffed animals. They got rubber bands and tied plastic bags to them. Then they climb the stairs and watch them drop. I think it's pretty funny. I love to see their imaginations at work.
