Monday was such a gorgeous day, and with the kids home I thought we needed to head outside. They spent forever trying to find a friend to invite to the park with us, but I think everyone already had their spring break plans made. I finally talked them in to going alone. We went up to a park, and just after we got out of the car a friend called to invite Sophie over. That was great for her, but now Chloe was left all alone with me. Brandon had an eye doctor appointment, so she tagged along with us to that. That turned out to be a lucky thing for her because Brandon got a free pair of sunglasses with the package he purchased, and he let Chloe have the free pair.

Monday night I was activity for FHE, so Brandon got to watch "Horton Hears a Who." Finally! Tuesday I just wanted to hang out with the girls, so we rented "Bedtime Stories," and did some laundry. Wednesday was a little more exciting -- we went to the planetarium and watched the new "Under the Sea" 3D IMAX movie. Chloe is really into ocean creatures, so I thought she'd enjoy it. She liked it, but she kept leaning over and telling me what everything was before the movie did. Afterwards they had a survey you could take on it. It asked you to rate the educational value, and she gave it a LOW score because she said she already knew it all and didn't learn anything. A little cocky, isn't she? Then we just hung out for a while after and played on the moon and Mars, and did lots of browsing through the gift shop.

Thursday was cold and wet, so we just ran errands. It was our last night to feed Ross for dinner. He's moving up to Logan. The girls are really going to miss him! I was supposed to have my book club that night, and I had even talked Ross into reading the book (which he did) and tagging along with me, but then it got cancelled! Bummer. We had our own mini discussion, but it just wasn't the same.
Luckily, Friday's weather was much nicer. I took Chloe down to Temple Square for a photo shoot in her baptism dress. She had a ball. I was trying to be quick about it, but she had too many ideas. It was great. I was worried of running out of space on my memory card, but with 5 shots left my battery died. That was a sign it was time to go. So then I took the girls over to Brandon's office. They wanted to hang out with him at work so I left them there and went home alone.

Saturday was packed full. We were up early in the morning to go to an Easter egg hunt at our grocery store. I thought that would be a better choice than the city's, but it was just as crowded. Sophie found an egg that had coupons for a candy bar (from one of the neighboring stores) and some cheese from the deli. We collected the prizes and then headed over to Lowe's for the bi-weekly kids project. We made bird houses this time.

After Lowe's we made a stop at the gardening store to get some berry bushes. We got a mixture of boysenberry and blackberry. We're going to plant those along our north fence. Once we got home Brandon and Sophie worked on cleaning out her fish tank while I started the eggs for decorating. Just then our neighbors came over to play, so we invited them in to dye eggs with us. The girls had a great afternoon playing together, while Brandon and I worked in the yard in between spells of rain.

We finished the evening off with our individual dates with the girls. We were scheduled to go Friday evening, but our garage door decided to fall apart (again). We spent the evening working to get it open just to get our cars out. They will now live in the driveway until we have more time to work on the door, but at least we have cars we can drive. Although it was nice enough outside today we decided to walk to church.
